Love
A simple four letter word
Is it meaningless?
Is it inutile?
Is it a jumble of letters scrawled on a page
To sit and be forgotten?

For it was this word that caused a great king to step down from his throne
These four letters sent someone innocent
Someone without fault
Someone perfect
To die a sinners death
To be nailed to a tree
He died to keep this word alive
To prove what it could do
He sank to the depths of the world
And waged war against death
He fought this battle for three days
Then, this word shook the foundations of the earth!
It rolled away the entrance to a burial ground and raised this man up again!
The word shouted to the world
And the heavens above
Look what I can do!
I can move the mountains
I can cause the seas to rage!
I can tear heavy fabric to shreds!
Yet, look at me!
See that I choose you!
Why do you run from such power
When I will never use it to harm you?
Why do you deny my existence
When you see evidence of me every day?
Why do you try to disprove me?
Why do you hide?
I am Love!

King of kings
Lord of lords
Wonderful Counselor
Healer of nations
The Lamb of God
The Way
The Truth
The Life
Savior
The Word made flesh
Cornerstone
And the Son of God
But you may call me...
Jesus Christ
