Hello World!

Hello World!

This is my blog. Not only that, but it's an extension of what I post on twitter. It contains my personal commentary regarding the posts I make, provides a more in depth explanation of what I posted and why I posted it. It's a hub for all of my programming escapades, and the central headquarters for everything that I deem worthy of posting about.

The 30 day dev challenge

A little while after I posted Off the Wall, I noticed some games had #30daydev in the description. Curious, I decided to take a look. I discovered a challenge to create one game every day for 30 days. I took up the challenge, but quickly gave it up after realizing how much work I had to put into programming, design, art, and music. I also noticed that these games were not as good as I was hoping, due to the time crunch.

Mt first 30 day dev game, appropriately named {(One)}

Let the insanity commence with Off the Wall!

What would a developer's blog be without games? To remedy that situation, I shall showcase the first game I ever posted online. Introducing Off the Wall! A game that has absolutely no purpose whatsoever. Programmed in Stencyl, this game started out as a simple project, was put aside for a while to focus on a different, more involved game (which I still haven't finished), and then ended up becoming the first game I had ever actually completed.

Description:
If you came here looking for a game that makes sense, you will not find it here. You will instead find meatball cannons, zombies, block people, inverted gravity zones, and a few sandwiches. These are just a few of the ridiculous things you will encounter in this bizarre world.

If you desire to play the game, you may play it on GameJolt. If you do, be sure to express what you think of it in the comments section on GameJolt. You may also rate it if you like.
